I'm running Powerpoint 2011 for Mac, and want to use my mouse as a
laser pointer. It appears that in the PC version, you can hold CNTRL
and left click, and this turns the mouse into a laser pointer. This
doesn't seem to work on the Mac. Anybody out there have suggestions?

Have you seen that work? Maybe your assertion is merely the computer
version of an urban rumor.

On my mouse, I think there is only an LED and not a laser. It is
coherent enough to provide speckle that the mouse can track but not a
laser diode that can be coaxed into giving a narrow beam.

The mouse does not become a laser pointer, the cursor does!

same over here. The mouse cursor is supposed to change into a laser pointer but control, option or command does not work.
